National Instruments Corporation, a global leader in test, measurement, and control solutions, established its subsidiary in Debrecen in 2001. Our mission is to equip engineers and scientists with the tools that help transform the world surrounding us. Our customers include companies like Airbus, Subaru and Hyundai, but our products are also used by NASA during their research activities.

We know that many of the world’s most significant engineering challenges will be met decades in the future by the next generation of engineers and scientists. To inspire and prepare today’s students to become tomorrow’s innovators, we invest in improving science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education globally with contributions of time, technology, and financial support. Our solution for STEM preparation is to put theory into practice and “do engineering” through hands-on learning.

My name is László Ábrahám, I am the General Manager at NI Hungary and a proud mentor of future innovators. I am devoted for helping young people discover and develop a passion for technology and engineering. I believe in inspiring the next generation of innovators by teaching fundamental STEM skills in interactive ways. Robotics competitions are a great example as they teach core engineering concepts, problem-solving skills, and leadership principles, and are linked directly to growing the number of students who pursue careers in engineering and science. I believe that FIRST LEGO League has a tremendous impact on the lives of students who participate.

NI has made a multiyear commitment to provide technology and support across FIRST programs, and we are very excited to organize the Open Invitational Central Europe here in Debrecen, Hungary.
